jonpar777 I love remake.of.the "And she was". It perfectly encapsulates the original with a skanky twist. I now I need to listen to the original to see the difference. But I have to say that I love the other versions..hard to say which one I like the most. 'Same as it ever was' is one.of my favourite tracks .. ever.. so it's hard to top that one !

CatfleaMassacre Top notch dub album... Black Market is consistent with quality output. This album takes four classic tracks and adds another twist. Favorite track: Burning Down The House.

congealedmeat I don't even know how you can make a dub album from this material that is so good! Favorite track: Psycho Killer.

fek117 I have heard the future of DUB-and it is Black Market. Unlike the self-indulgences of so many EDM DJs, Black Market preserves the qualities that make songs special and adds simple strokes of genius to make his dubs unforgettable. If there was a Music God, each new Black Market release would get airplay and club spins. Then it would be safe to listen to music again. Can't wait for NILSSON IN DUB (Everybody's Dubbin') Favorite track: Psycho Killer.

about

Back again with REMAIN IN DUB. The 17th Black Market EP and the 7th of 2019. Talking Heads are easily one of my favorite bands of all time, I was lucky enough to see David Byrne live with St. Vincent a few years ago and things stopped making sense right then and there. Making this album was really difficult and I had to replace quite a bit of gear in my studio last minute to make it happen. I did the bulk of the recording and mixing about a week before release day. That being said, this one is DUBBY (except for the ska track..). Enjoy, and someone get this into the ears of David Byrne.

Please, if you haven't yet, become a subscriber here on Bandcamp or join my PATREON! It makes such a huge difference, honestly. Basically every dollar I get from this goes right back into investing in new projects and ideas. I hope to see some new subscribers this month, thank you to everyone who is supporting dub music.

about

Black Market Dub Los Angeles, California

What would happen if The Beach Boys had The Wailers as their backing band instead of The Wrecking Crew? What if David Bowie spent the summer of 1975 in Kingston, Jamaica with King Tubby instead of Philidelphia? Michael Jackson meets Scratch Perry? These questions are the basic thesis of Black Market. Listen loud, dance, enjoy, and share. I make these albums for free but accept donations. ... more
